I am a huge fan of Letterkenny, the TV series. So when a friend mentioned this show, I was in. The tickets were expensive, especially for stand-up, but I figured it would be a fun night out. We got to the venue at 630, which was really just a bland flex space in Mac Hall. We got drinks (beer and cider only, no wine available) and got our seats, to wait for the 7 pm showtime. At 745, they finally began the show, no explanation, no apology. The comics were ok, but the content was pretty standard (crude) stuff, not related to Letterkenny at all. As a result, it felt a bit misleading to have advertised it as “Letterkenny Presents”, instead of just using the comics’ names with some reference to their connection to the show. Then, it was all over by 915.. an hour and a half for close to $60, not including drinks or the university parking (which is another rip off!). Quite disappointing.
